Adapter for connecting a reversing camera to Toyota, Peugeot and Citroen cars
Reversing is a feature increasingly popular with owners of modern cars. It allows the driver to clearly see what's happening behind the vehicle when reversing or parking – not only seeing nearby people but also the position of other vehicles and blind spots like trees or posts. However, for this feature to function properly, accessories are required, such as an adapter for connecting a reversing camera.
Which cars does the rear camera adapter fit?
Our rear view camera adapter is compatible with Toyota, Peugeot, and Citroen vehicles equipped with a factory X-Touch or X-Nav multimedia monitor. This cable allows you to install an aftermarket camera Plug & Play without having to interfere with your car's wiring.
Adapter for connecting a rear view camera to the factory monitor of Toyota, Citroen, and Peugeot (X-Touch / X-Nav). With this cable, you can install an aftermarket camera Plug & Play without damaging the vehicle's wiring.
The image from the rearview camera will automatically be displayed on the screen when reversing. The device is connected to an 8-pin socket (as shown in the wiring diagram). Once connected, all factory functions that operate using this socket are retained.
Note! An additionally installed rearview camera must be powered from the ACC line (first key turn), otherwise the camera input will not be active. Depending on the type of camera being connected, namely its operating voltage, a power converter can be used to reduce heating of the camera's built-in linear power supply. If the camera requires more than 6V, connect the camera's power supply directly to the ACC line.
