CTK Elastic F 6
is a self-adhesive, flexible, and lightweight thermo-acoustic mat based on foamed rubber (synthetic rubber and refining additives), whose structure is a combination of closed cells of varying shapes and sizes. This material is the same as CTK Elastic (without the F), but with an external layer of reinforcing aluminum foil that reflects heat and sound, thus increasing thermal and acoustic insulation. This construction allows this material to combine seemingly contradictory properties: effectively absorbing and reducing noise (which is typically a feature of spongy polyurethane materials with open cells that absorb water) while simultaneously providing a very high level of noise and heat insulation (blocking), while maintaining complete waterproofness. Thanks to these properties, CTK Elastic F is one of the most efficient materials on the market, designed for thermal and acoustic insulation of vehicle interiors and industrial equipment (machine housings, air conditioners, generators, etc.). Self-adhesive mats made of foamed, flexible rubber can be easily installed on surfaces with flat or slightly irregular surfaces (avoid sharp embossments and rough surfaces). CTK Elastic F mats are designed primarily for use under the hood and inside the vehicle cabin, as highly effective acoustic barriers that isolate the cabin from external road noise. They also act as effective thermal insulators that reduce interior heating on hot days and slow cabin cooling in winter. The product is flexible, oil-resistant, waterproof, non-flammable, and does not emit toxins when heated to 120°C. This allows it to be used on almost all interior and exterior vehicle body parts, such as the hood, roof, floor, wheel arches, trunk sides, and the interior of the door compartments. Resistance to moisture, bacteria, and mold growth makes CTK Elastic F mats ideal for use under car floor coverings as an effective soundproofing material that blocks road noise from entering the vehicle interior. For best results, it is recommended to use them in conjunction with self-adhesive aluminum-butyl mats, which are designed to dampen vibrations and resonances in the floor. CTK Elastic F thermo-acoustic foam should be applied as a second layer to body parts previously damped with aluminum-butyl anti-vibration mats. This product is not recommended for soundproofing door panels or similar upholstery elements with highly irregular surfaces and deep, sharp embossing.

HOW TO EFFECTIVELY SILENCE YOUR CAR?

For the best road noise reduction effect, it is also recommended to install the CTK Block Pro acoustic membrane as the last third layer on the lower horizontal body elements.
